Joy Global Not the Best of Breed
Joy Global’s lowered forecast amidst an metals and mining boom is extremely disappointing. Cyclical businesses cannot afford not to avail the good times when they come and clearly, Joy Global (JOYG) seems to have lost a lot of ground. I recommend selling this stock if you own it.

Hi Faisal;
Its been a pleasure reading your blogs. Congratulations to the success you have gained in terms of reach.
I would believe that you are currently not working with an investment bank and are an independent analyst. Would you share with us readers your sources of research – mainly quantitative and the kind of tools you use to generate technical research. Also what would be your best source whether on the internet or print media for qualitative research.
It will be great to hear from you.

Hi Enalysis
Correct that i am an independent analyst. I do my analysis by scrutinizing income statements, and balance sheets along with applying discounted cash flow analysis to derive stock valuations. Technical research is done using trend lines, moving averages, MACD etc, price/volume variations.
My fav sources for online or print media are Wall Street Journnal, Economist, Businessweek, Investors Business Daily and Barrons.
Thanks for the feedback.
